Kwantlen Polytechnic University opens its doors to prospective students

Are you interested in becoming a student at a renowned Canadian university? 
On Saturday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Surrey campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is holding an open house for future students, local businesses, families and the general public. 
Attend a mini-lecture, take a campus tour and connect with instructors, current students and KPU alumni. 
The afternoon will include fun and interactive activities, as well as a social media contest that offers the chance to win prizes, including $500 tuition waivers and more than $3,000 in other giveaways. Vancouver’s hit radio station, The Beat 94.5 will also be live on location keeping guests entertained. 
There will be a free shuttle between campus and the nearby Newton Athletic Park for visitors who want to see KPU’s men’s and women’s soccer teams in action. 
With over 1,000 visitors each year, the open house showcases Surrey KPU’s modern high-tech campus, offering more than 145 diverse programs including business, liberal arts, science, design, health, trades and technology, horticulture, and academic and career advancement.
Kwantlen, is derived from the aboriginal word meaning "tireless runner," and represents the university's commitment to helping student achieve excellence through its intimate learning environment, challenging curriculum and hands-on training.
