Restaurant Review: Good Choice

We went to Good Choice for some Dim Sum.
The Shrimp Spring Rolls were fried, yet were not greasy but had aggressively seasoned filling. The Fried Daikon Pudding with XO Sauce was not too soft while not too firm.
The Haw Gow (Shrimp Dumpling) and Sui Mai (Pork & Shrimp Dumpling) were small. The haw gow had whole shrimp filling that was buttery, well-seasoned and some sesame oil. The dumpling was had a balance of savoury and sweet flavours.
The Xiao Long Bao and Chiu Chow Dumplings had a thick and doughy dumpling skin, but it wasn't too bad compared to other dim sum joints. There was a small amount of soup inside to compliment the tender meat, which was mostly sweet. As for the Chiu Chow Dumplings, the filling was loose.
The Beef Meatballs were soft. These ones weren't mushy, but lightly seasoned. The Bean Curd Skin Rolls had wraps that weren’t too soggy. The filling was moist.
We also ordered Pork Spareribs on Rice and Rice Noodle Rolls with Brisket. There was a generous amount of spareribs, baby bak choy and chicken foot. However, the rice was too wet. The spareribs was tender. The rice rolls were pretty firm. Although dark in colour, the sauce wasn't too salty while the brisket was tender.
We also had the Lo Mei Gai (Sticky Rice). There was enough ground pork filling with Chinese sausage. The flavours were mild. In the end, it was a good choice to visit the restaurant with the same name. It had the reasonably-priced and well-prepared Dim Sum.
