Sidewalk Runway: Little Black Dress Gala

The Little Black Dress Gala was held at the Vancouver Art Gallery on Friday the 13th. I’m happy to write the evening passed without incident! The gala was an opportunity to dress up and attend a fashion show with proceeds benefiting Help Change My City (HCMC). HCMC is a non-profit organization that strives to make Vancouver a better place. They accomplish this by partnering with career people, corporate socially responsible businesses and community volunteers to provide at-risk and marginalized youth personal development coaching and skills training. The evening started with a video presentation. Two teens described the challenges they faced. They appeared on-stage as young adults to share their updated stories. Afterwards guests were treated to a fashion show featuring 11 local designers. Live music and art performers also kept guests entertained. For more details visit Help Change My City Alliance.
