Ten contestants will be vying for the 2017 Miss Chinese Vancouver title at the Vancouver Convention Centre Dec. 8. The show will air on Fairchild Television as well.

Finalists include: Tingting Niu, a guzehn and guitar player who has a passion for kickboxing and golf. Lisa Ly, who volunteered at Vietnam orphanages, performed a dance with a mannequin. Charlee Zhang Ning, who wants to become a PhD, was a UBC and CUHK scholarship recipient. Bonnie Chen also took the stage. Venus Chau is a dancer and pharmacist. Shayna Ding was recognized as a Youth Immigration with Distinction in Calgary due to her volunteer work. Natasha Wong is a food blogger. Cheryl Ng is a research technologist who loves animals. Ruby Ng earned her black belt in karate and is a qualified lifeguard. Tiffany Wu is a screening officer who enjoys dragon boating.

TVB actor Joel Chan will be the Special Guest Performer at the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant 2017. Chan’s breakout roles came as the head of the Trend department in Fashion War and a vampire in a supernatural drama Blue Veins in 2016.

Popular FTV and TTV hosts Delon Lew and Fred Liu will be the MCs for Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant 2017. On the judge’s panel will be Founder and Chairman of Chi Heng Foundation Mr. Chung To, erhu musician Ms. Nicole Li, the Royal Canadian Mint's 2017 My Canada, My Inspiration coin designer Dr. Timothy Hsia and the former member of Happy Girl Group Ms. Sabrina Ho. Fairchild. This year, Fairchild TV has named Chi Heng Foundation Canada as the beneficiary of the annual MCVP Gala Dinner to help HIV-impacted children in China with support for basic needs and the opportunity for education and skills.
