Science of Cocktails raises $276,000

The Science of Cocktails annual February gala exceeded all expectations once again.

The mixology ‘mela’ raised $276,695. 100% of these proceeds go to support the Science World Class Field Trip Bursary, which allows kids from underserved schools an opportunity to go on a free class field trip to Science World. Event organisers had hoped to raise $200,000. 

Approximately 1500 guests attendeed the event and got to enjoy out-of-this-world cocktails mixed by the best bartenders in Vancouver. 

The winner of the Cocktail Competition Winner was Andrea Civettini (Clough Club)

The winner of the Best Dish was Chef Jesse Hochhausen, Showcase Restaurant & Bar with his dish ‘Char Sui Pork Rillettes’.
Honourable mentions included Chef David Robertson from The Dirty Apron for his ‘Moroccan Braised Pork Shoulder’, Chef Michael Chan from Peak of Catering for his ‘Mad Beets’ dish, and Chef Aubrey Pingitore from Parallel 49 Street Kitchen for his ‘One-Bite Butter’ dish.
