Vancouver’s most delicious, exciting and anticipated restaurant promotion is here.
Dine Out Vancouver (DOV) 2006, presented by Visa, offers consumers a record number of restaurant choices at three great price points for 14 delicious days.
From Jan 20 to Feb 2, food lovers will have the opportunity to sample an impressive assortment of menu choices from the 144 participating restaurants.
The $15, $25 or $35 (exclusive of tax, gratuity and alcohol) three-course price-fixed menus, and their suggested BC VQA wine pairings are now available at www.tourismvancouver.com encouraged to make reservations early to avoid disappointment.
The restaurant promotion, now in its fourth consecutive year, represents amazing variety and value at restaurants all across the city.
This year’s line up includes many of Vancouver’s finest restaurants, stylish new dining rooms, hip wine bars, brew pubs, eclectic cafés and some of the best ethnic fare from around the globe, served up in neighbourhoods all over the city.
Said Kate Colley Lo, Manager, Travel and Trade Media Relations at Tourism Vancouver, "Vancouver has frequently been recognized as one of the world’s top dining destinations thanks to the city’s talented and committed chefs, innovative restaurateurs, top-notch ingredients and overall value to consumers."
"The record number of participating restaurants also demonstrates that restaurateurs are excited to inspire visitors and locals to celebrate Vancouver’s cuisine scene and share their own stories," Lo said.
The British Columbia Wine Institute, an event sponsor, encourages consumers to get to know what’s growing in their own backyards.
"Delicious British Columbia VQA wines are a natural complement to outstanding menus," said Peggy Athans, executive director of the institute.
"These are quality wines that stand on their own among some of the world’s best. DOV presents consumers with the perfect opportunity to sample BC’s award-winning VQA wines."
For an additional cost, consumers will be able to enjoy traditionally crisp, fruity whites, a variety of deep reds and dessert wines.
