Success is best when it is shared. Preparations are underway around Metro Vancouver for the upcoming star-studded fundraising gala organized by prominent Chinese Canadian charitable institution called S.U.C.E.S.S Foundation.

Back by popular demand, the annual S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Fundraising Gala will return to GM Place on 7th Day of the Lunar New Year which is referred in Chinese tradition as “Yan Yat” meaning everyone’s birthday.

The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala begins with an elaborate banquet for over 800 guests and followed by a variety show featuring the brightest pop stars from the Hong Kong entertainment arena.

“With an annual expected audience of over 13,000, the Gala has become one of the premier and most anticipated community events in Vancouver,” says Ms. Betty Funston, Co-Chair of the event. A total of $380,000 is expected to be raised from this fundraising activities.

The Gala will be highlighted by a star studded variety show with the brightest and most talented performers and artists in the Asian entertainment arena such as Justin, Edmond Leung, Theresa Fu, Eric Suen, Hins Cheung, Fiona Sit, Niki Chow and Shino Lin plus Sherming Yiu, a welcome return from last year’s gala.  

Prior to event date, fans will have the opportunity to meet their idols from Hong Kong and Taiwan at “Meeting with the Stars”, presented by TELUS, at 5pm on Feb 11 at Aberdeen Centre, Richmond.

As part of fundraising effort, the annual fundraising raffle ticket sale began last December. 
Raffle tickets are priced at $3 each, or $15 for a book of five tickets plus store discount coupons.   The Grand Prize is a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE donated by Toyota BC Dealers. 
Total value of prizes is worth over $39,000.  Raffle winning numbers will be drawn at the Gala night presentation. 

All proceeds will benefit S.U.C.C.E.S.S. services to sustain under-funded or unfunded programs for those in need in the communities.
