Asian Heritage Month at Richmond City Hall

On the weekend of April 26 and 27, Richmond residents can celebrate their multicultural
community by taking part in the launch of Asian Heritage Month as well as Doors Open activities at Richmond City Hall.

In Richmond and across the country, the Government of Canada has designated the month of May as Asian Heritage Month. Together, the City and community groups are celebrating Pan-Asian arts and culture and exploring Asian heritage and traditions. Simultaneously, on April 26 and 27, the first ever Doors Open Richmond will celebrate the culture of our community by opening the doors of 31 arts and heritage sites to the public.

“Honouring the different cultures in our community and celebrating Asian heritage
month is something everyone in our city can truly be proud of,” says Alan Hill, cultural diversity coordinator.
