Hong Kong star weds Canadian in mega wedding

International celebrities were in Hong Kong last week to attend the multi-million dollar wedding of Canto pop star Coco Lee to Canadian businessman Bruce Rockowitz.
The couple reportedly spent more than US$12.8 million on the two-day wedding celebration, believed to be one of the most extravagant Hong Kong has seen in years, according to local news reports.
The guest list is reportedly to include stars Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey and designer Tommy Hilfiger.
The two-day event began with the wedding ceremony at the SKY100 bar on the 100th floor of the tallest building in Hong Kong, followed by a banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, where many of the guests are staying in luxury suites.
Lee, also known as Ferren Lee, met Rockowitz, the 52-year-old president and chief executive of export company Li & Fung Ltd, in 2003. They became engaged in 2005.
The Hong Kong-born beauty, who has a huge fan base in Taiwan, wrote and recorded a special wedding song for her new husband called I Just Wanna Marry U.
Rockowitz, ranked as one of the world’s 30 best chief executives by Barron’s in 2010 and 2011, is also the chairman of the Pure Group, a lifestyle, fitness and yoga group operating in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, and an independent non-executive director of casino operator Wynn Macau Limited.
He went to Hong Kong alone when he was 19, becoming a tennis coach and later ventured into business.
The couple’s wedding rings are worth nearly US$3mil, reported mayday.com.
Rockowitz has two daughters from his previous marriage.
