Night of Miracles raises over $300,000

It truly was a night of miracles on October 22, as Vancouver’s South Asian community showed its support of BC Children’s Hospital by raising more than $300,000 for
the Campaign for BC Children. The third annual A Night of Miracles, a black-tie gala, held at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown, brought out more than 400 South Asian community and
business leaders.
In the first two years of the gala, the South Asian community raised close to $400,000 to purchase urgently needed equipment for BC Children’s Hospital. This year, money raised by the event goes toward
the South Asian community’s pledge to raise $3 million over five years to support the hospital’s Campaign for BC Children.
“We are absolutely committed to this $3-million goal to support the construction of an interventional radiology room in the new children’s hospital and A Night of Miracles has already taken us a big step
closer to achieving it,” said gala chair Robin Dhir. “Children deserve the best quality of medical care possible and it’s our responsibility to ensure they get it.”
The gala was emceed by Global National’s Robin Gill and presented by co-sponsors Fasken Martineau and RBC Royal Bank with additional support from other sponsors.
