Born and raised in the holy town of Tarn Taran, Mr. Lakhveer Singh, 24, fondly remembers visiting the famous Gurudwara every day after school. He asserts that his afternoons spent at Tarn Taran Sahib are his most cherished memories. He further believes that helping in the gurudwara kitchen and listening to the evening prayers have helped him reach his professional goals especially moving to Canada. After he struggled with finding a stable job in India, he packed his bags and followed his brother to Surrey. He overcame the language barrier and completed a Diploma in Electrical Training. He recently ventured on his own and opened Veer Electric Company a year ago. He believes his dedication is slowly paying off and with the word of mouth his business is gaining popularity. In his spare time he likes to play football and listen to Kuldeep Manak. “The only thing I miss about India is Tarn Taran Sahib but otherwise Canada is home,” he said.
