Cute watercolour on show

In Japanese ‘kawaii’ means cute.
It is the utmost compliment for women in the Asian country to be told they are kawaii.
The Rufus Lin Gallery of Japanese Art, an art museum specializing in curating and exhibiting contemporary Japanese artists, is currently running an exhibition until March 7th entitled “Kawaii – the dreams of a young girl”.
This solo show at the Richmond based gallery features nine imaginative color ink and
watercolor illustrations by the Japanese artist, Kouna.
The show is intended to showcase the “world in which young Japanese girls live, and what their dreams are like”.
Admission to Rufus Lin Gallery is free of charge. It is located at 415-5811 Cooney Road, Richmond. Opening Hours are Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM.
