Annu Gaidhu, winner of the 2014 Miss India-Canada title, was presented with a new 2015 Chevrolet Cruze at Applewood Chevrolet in Mississauga on Friday, October 31.
“It’s like a dream come true,” said Gaidhu, 23, on being given the keys to her car by presenting sponsor Chevrolet. “I’m proud to represent my Indian culture and celebrate Canada’s diversity as Miss India-Canada.”
Born and raised in Mississauga, Gaidhu is currently a final year student of Ryerson University and looking forward to completing her bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care. She is also one of the youngest certified yoga instructors in the GTA.
“A brand like Chevrolet stands for community, for family and for fun. As a diverse and multicultural company, we saw a great opportunity in supporting an event like Miss India-Canada and are proud to do so”, said George Saratlic, Product Communications Manager, General Motors Canada.
2015 is the 25th year anniversary of the Miss India-Canada event. This quarter century milestone will be grander than ever, celebrating talent, glamour and culture.
