People’s Choice voting has begun for the beauty spectacle of the year. Men and women from all across Canada will soon arrive in Vancouver to compete for the coveted titles of Miss World Canada and Mister World Canada 2015 – a night of music, dances and celebrity performances. This year’s National Finals celebrates “Beauty with a Purpose” as well as 2014’s winners Annora Bourgeault and Jin Stewart from Vancouver. The contest is about finding a female and male role model for youth, and undertaking global humanitarian missions.
Mister World Canada is a four-day competition designed to test the candidates in a variety of ways through series of challenge events, interviews and a final stage show. The challenges test every aspect deemed necessary to be “Canada’s Most Desirable Man.”
The female contestants combine an array of beauty, brains, talents, community initiatives and philanthropy in an effort to inspire others by living her dream.

Voters can "like" their favourite contestant only once during the entire period of the People's Choice Contest. However, they can vote for several different contestants. The contestant with the most number of 'likes' on the website and on Facebook combined will be announced the Winner of the People's Choice Award during the Miss and Mister World Canada National Finals in May 2015. Miss World Canada People's Choice Award Winner will automatically place in Top 16, for Mister World Canada delegates - Top 10.

Ashleen spends her spare time with her either her friends or family to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Betty Lu is on a mission to promote multiculturalism. Cultural diversity, she believes, is Canada’s identity and strength. Betty founded the Vancouver School Board Inclusion Club to “bridge, bond and build” stronger relationships between students of diverse cultural backgrounds. Betty is also a talented dancer and mentor to younger dancers. She is the Lead Dancer at the Cindy Yang Dance Academy of Canada. She is the recipient of the Sauder School of Business scholarship.

Community-minded Cynthia Zhou is an advocate of gender equity. She helped organize a TEDx conference and a debate legislation for the B.C. Youth Parliament. She is an aspiring youth who is academically ambitious. Through her volunteer experience, she has learned that women are capable of incredible accomplishments and hold respectful attributes that are commensurate with those of me. In Cynthia’s free time, she creates logos, posters, cards and even a magazine for various organizations and companies.

Dharinee Bhatt wants to inspire young women and men to feel loved so they can reach their potential. She grew up being taught to give back to her community, which she does. She is now studying her B.A. in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University because she hopes to advocate for public health. Dharinee is also a talented tennis player and dancer. She speaks seven languages proficiently. She supports many non-profit charities and voluntary organizations.

In high school, Erika became passionately involved in advocating against fighting human trafficking. She was born in Japan and raised in Singapore and Thailand. Erika knows that solution to this problem is complex and involves long-term commitments from various interest groups to address the root causes, primarily social and economic inequality. She has modeled and acted in television and print commercials. She wants to inspire other women to maximize their potential in all challenges.

Fariya Ali is an aspiring model who is an activist for organizations such as People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, the World Wide Fund and Greenpeace. She enjoys participating in projects and fundraisers for different organizations. She has helped raise funds for her home country Fiji for sports, health and education. Her favourite styles of dance are Bollywood and hip hop. Fariya’s ultimate goal is promote being a part of something bigger than yourself.

Born and raised in Surrey, Gurleen Mangat has grown into a strong and empowered woman who wants to be an example to other women. As a child, she was immensely shy. As an elder child, she developed into a natural leader and mentor. She grew up watching her family help others selflessly. This experience shaped her into a caring, kind and empathetic person. She is studying a Science degree and hopes to continue her studies in Medicine.

Kamanta Naidoo has a diverse cultural upbringing as was born in South Africa, has South Asian heritage and was raised in Canada and Australia. She established her brand ‘The Health Babe” as a Life Coach and Fitness Trainer to challenge her clients to live their life to their potential and have improved health. Kamantha also co-founded “Wild Horses”, a global platform that raises awareness about domestic violence, yet encourages women to love and empower themselves.

Kritisha Nandan has a passion to help people. She volunteered with Windermere Care Centre, YWCA, Sunset Community Centre, BC Children’s Hospital Telethon and Variety – the Children’s Charity. Growing up, she was involved in various sports and classical Indian dance. Kritisha wants to work in the legal profession in order to help others. She has faced many hardships, but she wants to inspire others to pursue their dreams and not let adversity set them back.

Luan Wei has a heart for equality and human rights, sustainability, animal ethics, homelessness. She is currently studying a Psychology degree at the University of Victoria. She is considering continuing on with a Master’s of psychology. Luan’s interests include dancing, singing, music, languages, different cultures and exploring the world. She has an optimistic view of life and believes in living life to the fullest while adding beauty to the world through her actions.

Nina Dhaliwal believes every child deserves access to education, which she considers a basic human right. She learned early on that the lack of education is the biggest barrier when it comes to achieving economic growth and reducing poverty within a nation. She wants to become a physician and hopefully join the Doctors Without Borders organization. She is studying at Simon Fraser University, majoring in Health Sciences. Nina enjoys dancing, swimming, modeling and travelling.

Raven Yray, a registered massage therapist and licensed international makeup artist, wants to bring awareness and support the community, give hope to children with special needs, be a role model to future young leaders and to reach out to women to build their confidence. Raven follows the philosophy from Helen Keller, who once said “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”

As an optimist and dreamer, Simran embodies what a global citizen looks like. In 2013, she became the youngest visual effects coordinator in Canada from working on Hollywood films and TV series. To affect social change, she uses her skills and experience to highlight the growing illiteracy in children through short films and outreach initiatives. She is dedicated to create a positive global change and to promote the importance of education across the world.
