Emirates Airlines has announced a new codeshare and lounge agreement with Alaska Airlines (AS) that will simplify and enhance Canadians’ travel experience.
Pending governmental approval, Emirates will offer 300 daily Alaska Airlines flights.
The new codeshare agreement will feature several other new benefits including reciprocal lounge access and priority boarding and check-in for elite fliers.
“Passengers will appreciate the greater choice, improved connections and many added comforts and conveniences such as lounge access and priority check-in, as a result of our new codeshare agreement with Alaska Airlines,” said Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline. “
Enhanced codeshare agreements helps passengers have easier connections from 49 cities, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria, Kelowna and two daily Emirates’ flights departing from Seattle to Dubai and beyond to West Asia, Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Far East and Australasia.
Emirates flight EK228 departs Seattle at 9:40AM, and arrives in Dubai at 10:55AM the next day, while Flight EK230 departs Seattle at 5:40PM and arrives in Dubai at 7:15PM the next day. Together, the convenience of a morning and evening departure will provide passengers with more choice when flying.
Emirates first launched service from Seattle to Dubai just over three years ago in March 2012 and has since flown more than 600,000 passengers on the route. On 7th July, Emirates announced its second daily service from Seattle to Dubai.
