Businesses and residents will have unhampered Internet uploads thanks to Telus PureFibre 1.5 Gigabit . This new tier of Internet is available to BC and Alberta residents. Speeds clock in at 1,500 Mbps download and up to 940 Mbs upload – 37 times faster than most widely available plans in Western Canada. That means those working at home can still do business while the rest of the family streams, games or video chats with classmates.

The 100 percent FTTP network is built with state-of-the-art fibre optics that physically attaches to the home or business. This connection means there will be the fastest upload and download speeds while simultaneously running multiple high bandwidth applications on a single connection. Networks that are 100 percent fibre are also more reliable and provide higher overall speed capabilities. Legacy networks run figure only to a central location in a neighbourhood with a non-fibre connection to the home.
