To discover that talent, Rogers Wireless presents the very first Bollywood idol show – EK TARA! at Massey Theater in New Westminster.
Participants from all over Metro Vancouver are invited. The slogan for EK TARA is: “If you can talk, you can sing! If you can walk, you can dance!”
The show is looking for Ek Tara! (a star) and is providing the platform for attaining and fulfilling one’s dream. The event is sponsored by M. Joomratty Law Corp. and House of Dosa.
The show starts with auditions this month that will culminate in the finals at a grand stage show to choose the winner. The finale that will take place Sept. 28, featuring 20 finalists: 15 performers and five singers.
Prominent judges from the dancing and singing fraternity will judge the final five participants at the finale. There will be a special People’s Choice Award for the participant with the most votes that night.
The grand prize is a trip to Mumbai, India, sponsored by Fiji Times. There will be other prizes and scholarships, including a Nu-Way Beauty School Package.
“Ek Tara! will give lovers of Bollywood song and dance an opportunity to follow their dreams,” says Sabrina Noorani, one of the organizers of the event.
