Information Sessions: Gerontology-Based Therapeutic Recreation Program
Kwantlen University College will be holding information sessions for the Gerontology-Based Therapeutic Recreation Program. The Gerontology-Based Recreation Program teaches students to apply theoretical and practical knowledge of gerontology, therapeutic recreation and recreation and leisure programming in the community, senior day centres and long-term care settings.

Information Sessions: Home Support Resident Care
Kwantlen University College will be holding information sessions for the Home Support Resident Care program. The program is designed to provide students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and values necessary to function as a front-line caregiver in a variety of long term care settings.

Workshop: Fitness for Elders
Kwantlen University College’s Gerontology-Based Recreation program is holding a workshop that focuses on fitness for elders. The Functional Fitness for Long-Term Care program is designed by the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging, and not only maintains ROM (range of motion), but also improves strength, balance, flexibility, mobility and function. The workshop is limited to 20 participants and registration is required. The workshop will be held:
