Looking for that perfect hideaway for the ultimate private holiday?
Amidst the rainforest and a beautiful stretch of pristine beach on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia is the exquisite “Premier Chalet on Water” the right choice for those seeking seclusion in paradise.
The 23 exclusive chalets built on stilts facing the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea promise absolute privacy and a rejuvenating environment.
It’s the latest addition to the famed sea-fronting water bungalows built on stilts at the resort, a gem nestled in a cove at Burau Bay overlooking the sun-kissed beaches and tranquil rainforest.
The chalets are built based on Malay architecture, each with 56 square metres of built-up space that has an extra large private balcony with deck chairs and separate shower facilities including a long bath.
They are also equipped with modern amenities such as air-conditioning, IDD line, piped-in music, colour television, CNN telecast, ceiling fan, safe, minibar and coffee/tea-making facilities. The chalets’ guests also enjoy VIP privileges like personalised check-in, morning breakfast at the seafront Pantai Restaurant, two bottles of complimentary mineral water daily and a welcome fruit basket.
Berjaya Langkawi’s general manager Noel Vendawall said: “Premier Chalet on Water” was specially built to cater for foreign leisure travelers.
He said the new chalets received very good response, especially from Middle Easten tourists since they were launched on July 1, 2006.
Vendawall said Berjaya Langkawi was the only top-end resort on the island with individual water bungalows built on stilts overlooking the sea.
In conjunction with the opening of the new premier chalets, he said the resort was offering a special introductory package of RM888 (about C$300) between August and October this year.
The package includes two nights’ accommodation, breakfast, an aromatheraphy massage at Ayura Spa and return airport transfers.
The “Premier Chalet On Water” will be priced at RM2,000 (about C$675) after the promotional period.
Berjaya Langkawi sprawls over 70 acres of land in Burau Bay.
It has 502 rooms and suites, and varied dining options such as the Dayang Cafe, Oriental Pearl, Pantai Restaurant,
Lobby Lounge, Pool Bar, Spa Cafe, Tandoor Cafe, Burau Beat Fun Pub and Reviera Bar.
