What’s the place known for: It is known for the Micro Dairy Ventures Private Ltd. which is a billion Rupee dairy project.
How often do you visit: I haven’t visited since I moved to Canada.
Famous person from there: Jassi Khangura is a very popular MLA in Punjab and a member of the Oxford University Medical alumni.
Last visit: 2004
What has changed: I feel the infrastructure has changed and developed a lot.
What have you done for your hometown: I haven’t been able to help yet but I am planning to start a scholarship next year for a student from Latala.

Born and raised in a small village that is known for its Khangura population, Mr. Jasbir Khangura has travelled half way across the world to find a better future for his children. In 2004 Mr. Khangura moved to Canada and joined the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada and opened Jasbir Khangura Inc. in 2008. Along with an experience in accountancy and banking in India, he has an interest in the field of Literature. He is a member of the South Asian Business Association in Surrey. Even though his work keeps him busy, Mr. Khangura finds time to read his favourite author Dr. Surjit Paatar and listen to Satinder Sartaj’s music. “I love everything about living in Canada especially the systematic rule of law and the weather. One can grow at any age and any stage in life here,” says Mr. Khangura.
