A cup of afternoon tea in Toronto

Though the Toronto International Film Festival is renown for celebrity appearances of the highest order, a la George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, it also is the destination for up and coming Canadian filmmakers and actors.
This year, Vancouver based film producer DJ Parmar launched his directorial debut, Afternoon Tea, at the festival, now in its 36th year.
The short film (run time: 13 minutes) was among 40 short films selected to participate.
Afternoon Tea follows an Indian grandfather who has lost all his family members and lives in isolation from from the world around him.
His life however changes when a seemingly lost boy comes to his home asking for a phone.
The old man is unaware that this boy is not who he appears to be and holds a secret that will change him forever.
The film which was shot in the Lower Mainland also stars actress Sandy Sidhu, originally from Vancouver Island.
