Winter celebrations in the Lower Mainland kick off in the coming weeks with a special collaborative concert series for all lovers of classical music.
The Essonance Chamber Choir consists of a group of UBC and SFU alumnus who have a passion for music.
This group is led by musical director and founder, Livia Gho. Born and raised in Singapore, Livia Gho is a classically trained pianist and is also proficient in the Chinese zither and voice.
Ablaze Orchestra, on the other hand, is a group of young aspiring musicians, under the leadership of music director Abraham Wong.
These two groups will combine forces for a unique four-part concert series which will showcase local talent.
Performers in the concerts have performed in variety of community spaces such as the Vancouver General Hospital, UBC, and the Indonesian Consulate.
