Terrace, BC born Jennifer Coosemans, 21, won the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant 2015.
She also won the Anna Beauty Perfect Silhouette and the Lugara Jewellers Dazzling Flair Award.
First runner up was Lettitita Lai who also won the Winston Miss Friendship award. Second runner up was Karen Ku. Taking the prise for the Element Beauty Best Posture Award was Louise Dong. Miss Photogenic was Cathy Tse.
Fairchild TV hosted Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant 2015 at the Vancouver Convention Centre on December 9.
This year’s chosen charity for the gala was BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre Foundation’s newborn intensive care unit.

The most memorable moment:
My mom took me to an Aladdin ballet concert when I was about 5 years old. They asked for 3 crowd participants to come to the stage to do an Egyptian dance impression. I ran to the stage without hesitation and danced in front of the whole theatre fearlessly, and won the bunny.

Which city will be the best place to realize your dream: Vancouver
Among the cities you have ever visited / stayed, which is the most impressive? Why:
Shanghai, I love the Chinese culture and food markets, as well as being in the big city and at the same time near the ocean.
Places you like to visit and why:
Shanghai, I want to revisit my family especially my grandparents.

Fav. Miss Chinese Vancouver and why: Miss Chinese Vancouver 2000 Bernice Liu, she is so inspirational and relatable.
Which bodily parts are you most satisfied with: My collarbone, I have a prominent collar bone and I think it is a very elegant feature.
Do you have any expectations towards the pageant: I expect it to be a learning curve with unexpected things I will learn, and I expect to learn about myself along the way.
What areas do you want to better yourself: I look forward to becoming a better public speaker, to learn to speak more Cantonese and Mandarin, and to build my self-confidence.
Reasons for joining the pageant: I am a women who demonstrates intelligence with a soft heart.
What is the most beautiful object or incident in the world: A couple that grows old together and whose love never fades.
Who is your female role model and why: Mom. She has inspired the dedicated, hard worker in need. She brought me up to be strong and independent. She believes in me more than I ever believed in myself. She challenges me to think that things that seem impossible are not so far out of reach.
Why do you think you will excel at this pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver: I am a genuine, intelligent, and kindhearted individual who is determined to achieve the best I can
