Restaurant Review: Yolk’s on Broadway

The Cambie location of Yolk`s is just as good as the Hastings location.
I ordered my favourite Chicken and Waffles with a hashbrown platter. The first time I came here, I felt that the waffle was a bit on the soggy side (but I’ve had previous experiences of it being this way at the Hastings location as well) – but in the recent times I’ve been, they have made the waffle crispy.
The chicken and waffles comprise of organic fried chicken, Belgian waffles and a chicken gravy served with a side of maple syrup.
Their Truffle-Lemon hashbrowns are my favourite, made with fresh lemon, truffle oil, sea salt and chives. It’s definitely something you’ll want to check out – you can get a full serving you can share with one or two friends, or you can get a half order for yourself.
The restaurant itself is in a new building, so it’s nice and clean with an open kitchen. There is a long communal table and just like its counterpart, it’s always busy. Thankfully, I’ve never had to wait too long, but you could get your food to go as well.
