Theme of your new collection: Secret garden

Colours, fabrics and silhouettes in your new collection:
The upcoming Play with Fala Spring/Summer 11’ collection features a “Secret Garden” theme exhibiting bright and vibrant colors such as white, turquoise blue, nude and purple. The vibrant garden hues are meant to reflect the inner romantic ideals and desires within. I decided to use organic fabrics such as silk and bamboo fabric for this collection in support of global and environmental awareness. The inspiration for my design is surrounding on simplicity. In the Spring/Summer Collection ,you will be able to discover the elegant one piece overall pants and dresses and even the simplest lines in my designs will still accentuate the soft feminine silhouettes.

Style icons (past or present) whom you most admire:
I admire Kate Moss the most because I feel that her style is very captivating and very eye catching.

Celebrity you’d love to see in your clothes:
Angelina Jolie because she is a woman who is attractive, sexy and confident. She dresses with attitude, and always have a unique look at different events. Her persona is what Play with Fala would like to express with the creativity of my designs.

Three classic, versatile pieces you think everyone should have in his/her wardrobe:
A pretty dress, good material T-shirt and fitted jeans.

Do you have any advice for aspiring fashion designers:
Be persistent and focus on your goal. It’s not an ordinary career so you should realize the amount of effort you contribute might not equal to the return. To stay competitive in this industry, tremendous amount of innovation and patient would be required and remember to always update yourself. It’s one of the challenging industry and once your mind is set, don’t look back.

What trend do you see coming for next year:
Everyone is taking the ownership to define their own trend and there won’t be any trend that fits all. Being you, being playful is the concept of Play with Fala and my upcoming collection will build the uniqueness for everyone.
