Tsering Norsang worked 25 years as a chef in five-star hotels in India, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Istanbul. In 1996 he won Gold & Bronze during the Culinary Olympics in Delhi, India.  Now Vancouverites can experience his specialties in the first authentic Tibetan restaurant on Fraser Street.
Vancouver Tibet Kitchen serves two different types of cuisines: Tibetan and spicy Indian-style Chinese food. Chef Norsang enjoys greeting his customers to ensure that they are happy with what he has created for them. His language skills in Tibetan, Hindi, Turkish and English enable him to chat with diners as tranquil Tibetan music plays in the background.
Many customers come to Vancouver Tibet Kitchen for its momos, a traditional Tibetan delicacy. Momos are a type of dumpling filled with either vegetables or meat and served with a dipping sauce. Groups of meditators  from the local Dharma centres come to the restaurant to share platefuls of delicious Tibetan momos.
