Samir Chopra was born in Calcutta, India. At the age of 16, Samir moved to Austria to begin a career in hotel management before immigrating to Vancouver in 2006 where he worked at well-known restaurant establishments as the main chef. Samir played snooker during his off time at the Army, Navy, & Air force (ANAF) Veterans Club on Fraser Street, which is open to any member of the public to drop in. After  discussions with club management Samir opened The Andy Capp Bistro within the ANAF in March 2011 to help better serve the people in the area and community. Using his skills, experiences, and interactions with top chefs in Europe, Samir offers phenomenal quality dishes at very reasonable prices. Samir’s understanding of food, high standards, and cooking techniques equate to delicious meals. Samir’s signature dish is the Schnitzel Burger, which is a famous Austrian main dish.
