Dalbir Bassi, 23, from Delta is the big winner for RJ1200’s 5th anniversary celebration giveaway.
After coming close many times, she finally managed to call in at the right time.
“I had been trying to qualify since the beginning of the contest.   Twice I was caller number 11 and once I was caller 10.”
“I actually broke down and cried at one point because I was so disappointed not to be the 12th caller.”
Despite this, her family continued to support her through the adventure.
“Everyone was helping me, especially my dad.”
Not an early-riser by habit, Bassi set her morning alarm each night for 8AM so she would hear the location clue. She would then type the name of the location into her phone to review later.
Bassi’s prize includes round-trip airfare from Vancouver to Mumbai, a 7-night stay in deluxe accommodations at Juhu Beach and a day’s outing with RJ1200’s morning show hosts Paras and Sharanya, who will take the winner to some Mumbai hotspots and get access to a red carpet event with some Bollywood celebrities.
