Falling in love with a terminally ill man

Cynda Yeasting will be signing her book For Michael, Love Cynda in the coming week at local bookstores.

The second-generation Chinese Vancouverite shares her fairy-tale romance with her Prince Charming Michael, who she met on an online dating website. She decided to go out with him despite that he was terminally ill.

“I decided to write about my experience for a few reasons,” explains Yeasting. She wanted to share their story as it is unusual. She wanted to raise money for cancer research (11% of the proceeds of sales will be donated) and also to help others that are grieving.

“I also wanted a record of us, Michael didn't want to be forgotten. Because of For Michael, Love Cynda he will live on,” says Yeasting.

She was born into a Pioneer Chinese Family and is the eldest of a family of five.  She is the single mother of two grown sons.

Yeasting will be at the IndigoSpirit Robson and Granville location on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 12 pm to 3 pm and at the Indigo, Broadway and Granville store on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

For Michael, Love Cynda  is available for purchase at select Chapters Indigo stores. Check online for locations. Also available online at ChaptersIndigo.ca, Amazon.ca, Amazon.com, iTunes, Google Play, and 35,000 other booksellers worldwide.
