Restaurant Review: Hunter Gather

Think mess hall but elevated and you’ll get Hunter Gather. It’s a quick service spot in Whistler. They combine fresh, local ingredients with the best craft beer BC has to offer.

This was our favourite spot on our trip.

We ordered the Beef Dip – slow roasted over charcoal. The beef was tender and juicy and held up very well in the bun. The dip had just the perfect amount of flavour to compliment the beef. The coleslaw for the beef dip was also delicious – not creamy but a nice, tangy vinaigrette that cut the fat of the sandwich.

We ordered the Pemberton salad made with local beets, dried fruit, crisp organic veggies and herbs, chickpeas, sprouted legumes in a miso chili vinaigrette. The beets were my favourite part of the salad; they were marinated nicely. Overall, the salad had a nice, bright flavour to it.
